I worked both days this weekend. So on Saturday, while everyone else was frolicking in the sun, I was dealing with my patient who decided she was through with the hospital, and removed her own chest tube. Don’t worry, she’s fine (physically at least…psych-wise I’m still on the fence). Anyways. Yummy pre-packed food includes: raisin/almond/cashew/carob chip mix, dried mango/papaya, Tribe hummus mini-tub, apple, raw salad, and some bars. I HATE rain!!! Ugh. Today’s weather makes me want to curl up in a ball under a blanket and never come out again until April/May. This is why I am not meant to be a East Coast-er/New Yorker. My umbrella was inside out 90% of the time, so I arrived to work with scrubs that weighed an extra 5 lbs and an afro (fabulous). First of all, check out this BOMB shopping trip (I stocked up on the odwalla bars – mmmm). These are such great snacks because they aren’t too filling, but are still healthy and yum. Second of all, I feel as though Bruno’s Ravioli deserves a may-jah shout out considering I go there EVERY day I work. They have the best coffee (that also happens to be cheaper than starbucks) and their salads, sandwiches, and soups are to-DIE-for delicious.
