Quinoa with the works

I made this the other night and it was so good I had to share.  Sorry about the lack of measurements or precise anything, but I’m sure you can figure it out. Inspired by this stuffing (I guess I’m still in winter comfort food mode), I roasted butternut squash, brussels, and apples. Then I tossed them with sage and thyme. Week ‘o eats

The whole shebang of last week in one post.  Here goes. Breakfast on Monday was the last of this savory bread and fried eggs.   Breakfast on Tuesday was out – I had a savory crepe with hash browns at Crepeville. Because Crepeville’s portions are awesomely massive I had leftovers for breakfast on Wednesday.  Which I paired with two fried eggs. Food from last week

A weekend of Lafayette leaves

I’m so behind in posting!!  Indulge me as I recap last weekend… Thursday night we got a surprise visit from Kyle’s dad.  He was passing through Davis so he spent the night at our place. He arrived during patty-cake’s dinner time.  More peas for P, please! After we all played for a while, it was bedtime for the little guy. Following other people’s recipes

For all the recipes I find in cookbooks, magazines, and blogs, I don’t make very many!  I’d say they serve as inspiration mostly.  My taste preferences usually then guide me in tweaking things to make them how I want them.
