Molasses as a sweetener

If you want to make 1 1/2 loaves of banana bread (one large, one small) here’s the recipe.  Alternatively, you could make one loaf and some muffins.  Not sure how the cooking time would vary for those but I’m just throwing it out there because I made this recipe and it had too much for one loaf but was still perfect and definitely worth sharing. ABCD quick bread

Making quick breads is really as easy as it gets.  Kind like learning your A,B,C’s – once you figure out the basics, it’s a snap!    I promise I didn’t plan the name of this bread around that little theme, but it was too perfect to NOT call this ABCD bread. If you like dates, you will like this bread.  If you don’t (you’re crazy but oh well), you could sub in raisins. Molasses in December

These are gooooood.   Molasses.  Chocolate.  Ginger.  Made by tweaking my basic vegan cookie dough.    You can make these plain, or you can add in chocolate chunks and candied ginger.  Any combination is going to be delicious.  I made five with candied ginger (for me) and six with chocolate chunks (for Kyle).
