So many birthdays!

I’m royally sore today.  It must be the rollercoasters (because I didn’t work out yesterday).  Unless you consider shoving toddlers out of the way to get to the front row of the parade a workout…not that I did that.  For breakfast I wanted something cool and something crunchy.  So I went with a smoothie topped in granola.  The smoothie had frozen strawberries, soymilk, Antioxidant Natural Greens, and ice.  With Love Grown Clusters of Oats on top.  It was great, but I was really just passing the time until lunch.  Why so stoked for my mid-day… Read more >

A day of Disney

Yesterday was my friend Alene’s birthday so we decided to celebrate at Disneyland.    You’re never too old for Disney.  We only got a few looks throughout the day (people looking to see if we had our kids were nearby or if we were really two 20-somethings enjoying a day of childhood magic).  Obviously, it was the latter. 😉 We were actually going to spend the night before at my G-ma’s so we could have an easy morning commute to Anaheim, but after Monday’s looong work day I was pooped and didn’t feel like I… Read more >

Farm to face

I had SUCH a super Saturday.  I hit up the farmer’s market, I went for a run, I bicycled, and I made a nice dinner with my beau.  It’s too bad I had to work Sunday…which really put a damper on the evening’s karaoke (in hindsight, I’m definitely thinking this is a good thing).    Kyle and I made dinner from our Farmer’s Market loot.         The menu: Chilled green bean & grape tomato salad with truffle oil & balsamic vinegar Bell pepper skewers Grilled avocado with salt and lime juice Field… Read more >

Going once, twice…

Are you in auction mode yet? Tomorrow is the day so please please please hit up The Great Fundraising Act and bid on some goodies to help raise $$ for Susan. My quinoa granola is available (click here to bid).  It’s vegan and gluten free (and delicious if I do say so myself).  The bidding starts at $10 but if it goes even a dollar higher I will throw in some extra hippie faves.  Promise 🙂
