TGIF, I love you, man

I spent most of today outside, so my food pictures will be fewer than usual.  But that’s a good thing.  It means SUNSHINE!

I woke up crazy early (thanks for that 6:55 am text Jess) and enjoyed some frothy java before heading to the gym.  I like getting my workouts done early when the weather is awesome…plus Jess and I had an appointment at Jenny Yoo to get to.

[insert 4 miles on the elliptical here]

After the gym I showered, beautified, and chowed down the above brunch while trying not to get peanut butter in my hair.

I’m all about signs, so as I passed this truck, I knew it was going to be a fabulous day!

Then I met up with Jess and we headed downtown to look at bridesmaid dresses (for each others’ weddings).  OBVI, I’ll be in her bridal party and she in mine.  It was so fun!  Normally I’d say we were so adult, but trust me, we nipped that in the bud upon entering the store…we have perfected the lesbian lovers routine.  Too bad Kyle had to show up and ruin all the fun (kidding)!

Have I ever mentioned that she’s marrying a guy named Kyle, too?  We call him Kyle #2 since my Kyle came first (TWSS).  But seriously, even Jess refers to him as Kyle #2, haha.

Anyways, somewhere in there I had an iced soy misto from the bucks (bberry photo).

Trying on gowns really worked up our appetites, so the three of us headed to Whole Foods in Columbus Circle…HOT/COLD BAR!!!

[no picture]  After in impromptu decision to see a movie (I Love You, Man) we had to race to get to 66th Street in time for the 2:30 showing.  We arrived at 2:45 and didn’t miss a thing!!  Phew.  Needless to say, we ate in pitch black, so no picture.

I’ll tell you what I had though (for the salad challenge’s sake).  Fancy lettuce, chickpea/bell pepper salad, baked tofu, and dried cranberries.

Paul Rudd is HILARIOUS.

Anyways, I headed up to the NYRR office to pick up my race info/bib for this weekend, and then Kyle and I walked back home through the park.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day…I couldn’t stop taking pictures!!

So pretty, it looks fake.

With Kyle (just to prove it’s not fake).

By the time we got home it was almost 7 pm.  I love losing track of time because it’s so sunny and warm.  FINALLY!

I basically wanted the exact same salad I had for lunch at WF, so I tried to recreate it (a la GlidingCalm).

IMG_1863

It was HUGE, and contained the following: spinach (buried way down there), brocc slaw, shredded carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, green peas, chickpeas, and seitan.

Look how big!

Mmmm….I love hugh jass salads, because they last forever and ever and ever.

I know Bethenny doesn’t approve of the massive bowls of greens, but I can’t get enough of them.  Too many ingredients doesn’t seem like an actual problem to me.

I also had an apple, but I def was ready for dessert in a few hours.

Dates and carob raisins.  Holy Yum, indeed!
