You know what may be a bit creepy? How much Brooke and I talk about you/your eats when we’re doing what we do best–eating. Anything kombucha or hummus-related and your name comes up. Then we talk about your dimey fiance and how we want to come to the wedding, but whatevs.

This post was a huge yay. And did you make banana soft serve with that last pic? I’m assuming yes, but you may have done something else magical with it.

Have a fab night/start to the week!

Don’t you love how calories are posted everywhere in NYC now?

I drove through Coney Island on Saturday and my husband wanted to stop at The Original Nathan’s (it’s very famous) so I indulged him, he got a hot dog (~300 cals) and a large fries (1,000 cals!). It’s crazy and makes you think twice. I had a few fries but was careful!

its good and yet a bit scary. sometimes ignorance is bliss – although not in this case. over 1000 calories!?! what the *eff* is in there?

At least it looks like there are more YAYs than NAYs ;)
Had no idea there was a Pomegranate Chobs…ah!
Also, did the YAY for Rachel Getting Married come before or after you had seen it? Do you recommend?

Around the “orange themed salad,” the words “yay” and “nay” began to look kind of weird! ;)

I take it you like the new stadium… I was going to boycott it, but I know I can’t do it. :p

the new stadium is pretty – but come ON…if you are going to update it, get hip with the times and get some healthy food options. no greens to be found…well maybe being smoked outside the stadium…

This post- YAY
Monday mornings- NAY
Monday mornings that involve coffee and lara bars – YAY
:)

Your quinoa/tofu/hummus dish sounds and looks like it deserves WAY more than a ‘yay’. I give it a “heck yeah throw your hand in the air and say ‘woah’…”

Reply

17 elise July 29, 2009 at 3:27 am

thats what i was saying on the inside…but it didnt fit on one line. so “yay” took its place :)

Posts from HHH–Yay!

Wow..that dried yacon sounds awesome! I have never seen it before–is “Yacon Power” the brand name on the package? I am intrigued…a dried veggie/fruit I have not had before?! I need to remedy that ASAP!

it was weird. navitas naturals is the brand, and yacon power is the name of the product. they were…weird? i cant think of a way to describe them. texture weird. flavor weird. all in all – just weird.

23 ksgoodeats July 27, 2009 at 2:07 pm

Here’s my list, to your list…

YAYs = Frozen dessert done right, COFFEE (black gold, move over oil), & ‘fu and hummus
NAYs = Yankees beating the Tigers, being injured and unable to run (or walk without looking like a pirate), and ball park eats – I could tell you horror stories that would make you happy you didn’t eat there! Ferreals.

Am I feeling a Brazil ‘bucks mug coming back!? I sure hope so :)

haha i loved julie’s yay/nay theme and loved yours too! i might have to try it out sometime. i am glad too see the yays did outweigh the nays for you! and 1125 cals for some chicken and fries, are you kidding me, that is something else! gross.

I second the “yah” for Rachel Getting Married and the “nay” on ball park eats (actually, I agree with most of this post!) I posted a couple weeks ago about my trip to the ballpark and the 4,000 calorie burger they serve (but you get a free t-shirt!) RI-DONC-U-LOUS.

That guac salad? Can I get a “whoo-whoo”? I think I’m addicted and hope there is never a recall of avocado, as I will be a gonner…
