A day late

…and a dollar letter short.

I’ll be back with the alphebruary eats later (g and h happened but my energy needs to be higher to share the deets).

Work eats, however, don’t call for much brain power.  I’m not saying they were mindlessly dull…but I kinda am ;)  Kidding!  [But they were VERY similar]

I’ve been on a fruity tooty kick lately.  Starting the day with water, Jillian, coffee, coffee, and fruit, fruit, fruit.

Because it’s sunny and I’m downing fresh strawberries and blueberries constantly, I feel like next week should be the 4th of July holiday rather than Valentine’s Day.  Oh LA.  You and your silly non-seasons (I have no need for seasons in my life).

IMG_5265

Repetitive formula?  Perhaps.  But when starting your work days on a complete berry high, why would you change it up?

IMG_5272

Answer: you wouldn’t.  So I didn’t.

When it came to the rest of my packed lunches, I was double fisting it all the way (with apples I mean).

There were also plenty of snacks in my bag ‘o tricks, including candied ginger, Chobani blueberry greek yogurt, dried mangoes, and a bag of cereal/nut/dried fruit trail mix.

My non-fruit breakfasts (aka my work breakfasts) didn’t stray too far from the norm.

Above: oats with cinnamon and raisins

Below: oats with coconut and chopped apple

Lunch: salad of spinach, bell pepper, tomato, carrots, and leftover barley/TVP salad.

IMG_5261

Barley is SO good!  I’m in love with the texture.  It’s like a cross between plump oats and chewy couscous.  Hard to describe, but really fantastic.

Togetherness.

Togetherness round dos.

IMG_5277

Same snack story (trail mix, dried mango), different main.

IMG_5278

Millet with peas, carrots, and bell peppers, and spicayyyy salsa on top.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll bust out my “g” and “h” food posts.  For now, I have a date with my pillow.

Yummy! It all looks great. You’re right though, I wouldn’t change it up either 😛

I love seeing people pack lunches, because I tend to have to do that a lot in college, and it’s interesting to see what other people pack too.

I always love seeing your work tupperwares. It makes me feel happy when i see other ppl make, bring, and lovingly transport their own good food in to work…so that they arent eating vending machine food or delivery! 🙂

Your lunches are inspirational to me. I have been so lame lately with my lunches. I have a box of frozen boca chick’n patties at work and spinach tortillas. In the morning I bring a green smoothie or tea or oatmeal. I need to bring more green for lunch though. I need to go shopping is what I need 🙂 I have been wanting to try barley too!
