Covered in ash

Another week of corona misery is creeping by.  How are you all surviving?

We finally got a chance to breathe (literally and figuratively), but then BOOM another fire broke out (a few actually…) and now our new backyard patio is covered in ash and you can’t even see the sky.  It’s an orange brown haze that seems like the start of the apocalypse.

So now we are trapped indoors AGAIN.  Seriously can we just end it already?  I’m too tired of putting on my Mary Poppins hat and pretending like everything is fine when in reality the AQI is nearing 200 and I’m channeling 2007 Britney (as in the year she shaved her head).

But because I had nothing else to do (and also Kyle was heading out of town), I prepped some stuff to make the week go smoother.

Fast breakfasts mean I get to work out in peace and quiet while they get in some free time before hunkering down at their desks.  Thank goodness for the Beachbody on demand app!  It’s 100% responsible for me not losing my sanity by now.

It’s been a while since I’ve run outside.  I think I’m starting to forget what the world is like outside this house!!

2 weeks down, 35 to go.

Hang in there Elise! I feel for ya….I live in Redding and man, the sky was just scary dark earlier today! It’s been bad for awhile now, but got so dark today around 10 am, I needed to put the lights on in the house in order not to trip over things (mainly my sneakers i left in the hallway after my morning walk). I am sooo over this…

It is ok not to feel happiness all the time. It is so healthy to express all your feeling. I am sending positive vibes to you and your family.
