Desperate (chocolate) times

You know what is incredible? The ingenuity and imagination that complete desperation can bring about.

For instance, my chocolate situation.

In truth, I’m not remotely limited in what I have on hand…I’m a choco-holic, so being without is just NOT AN OPTION. But I will admit, I don’t have much that appeals to me…a lot of random odds and ends…including unfinished bars, older chocolate pieces, and way way way older pieces.

So I did a bit of an experiment…

I took all the random odds and ends and melted them together…filling in the gaps with extra chocolate chips as needed.

I helped smooth things out with a knife as it melted, and then I plopped chocolate covered marshmallows evenly throughout the top.

Finally, I topped it with coarse sea salt…and put it in the fridge until later that night.

The verdict: OH WOW.

I did myself proud with this one.

And I even managed to make it last FIVE WHOLE NIGHTS.

So that was great, but now I’m going to go through withdrawal again.

Back to the pantry I go!?!

I know you’re not a big fan of going to the stores but could you get some deliveries?? I know most brands are offering free no-contact deliveries. For example we have a chocolate factory (Abdallah’s – https://www.abdallahcandies.com/) here in the town I live in and their chocolates are delicious and while their retail shop is still open for pick-up many people are getting their delivered so that they don’t have to interact with others … maybe you could do the same with your fav chocolate shop!!

I have looked into SO many options – ginger elizabeth is local but they are only delivering to sac. And amazon and walmart and target dont really have what I want or are too pricey (like I don’t want to order $72 worth of endangered species variety pack) or I feel is wasteful since I’m not ordering other stuff at the same time that I “need” you know?? See’s isn’t even doing online orders like they normally do! Ugh. I’m just hoping things resolve and I can get back to normal before my sweet tooth revolts on me.
