Warm with a chance of rain

Is still warm!! By now you guys must know what a sucker for warm weather I am. My mood is dictated by the sun so I am truly in heaven right now. And even rain storms passing through don’t bother me because IT IS STILL WARM. Hawaii is heaven. You know what else is heaven?  The ability to order food from a restaurant for all members of our family.  I will never ever take that for granted.  We still have a kitchen in our room, but I can do as little or as much as… Read more >

A long way to paradise

Would you believe me if I told you I worked out the morning before heading to the airport at 7 am?  Of course you would!  It’s ME we are talking about.  V woke us up extra early that morning to make sure I got my workout in.  Such a sweet girl, that one.  😉 We took lyft to the airport, which was the kids’ first times doing all that.  They were so confused about why a random man was driving us to the airport and then once we landed in Maui and got a rental… Read more >

I’m turning into an açaí bowl

And I’m totally okay with it. I thought I’d find time to pop onto hhh earlier but I have been enjoying the down time. Just wanted to say hi and show off the powabunga bowl… Read more >

Leftovers from last year’s garden

On account of all the cake I’ve been eating, I decided to kick my butt into high gear and went to stroller strides on Monday AND Tuesday. I had extra time in the morning before we left the house so I made a huuuuge batch of pancakes.  Enough for at least 3 days. It felt so good to work out hard and then I came home and had heaps of leftovers from my parents’ house for lunch. Kale, lentil salad, candied walnuts, roasted Brussels sprouts, avo, etc. Put it all together and you have the… Read more >

Cake, cake, cake

Where to start!?  I feel like I can’t possibly catch up because our weekend was so full, but I will try.  It’s worth it. Family is the best.  Ok so let me start off with Saturday. That’s the face of a girl with a secret. I had given them sips of my ginger tea earlier in the day and they were begging nonstop for more ever since.  So I made them a cranberry tea to share.  I could tell they didn’t really like it, but because they had asked for it for so long, they pretended… Read more >
