Another gorgeoussssss weekend of sun and outside time as a fam bam.  Happy days for sure.  Spring in Davis has me all up in the best mood ever.  And guess what!?!  Farmer’s market returned on Wednesday nights this week!  It continues year round on Saturday mornings, but the Wednesday night sessions are the absolute best. Saturday night was an easy one – sushi!!!! We had birthday parties (yes, plural) and swimming class which took up the whole day so cooking wasn’t happening.  Plus the weather was gorgggggeous, I wanted to be outside not in the kitchen. During my first pregnancy my love affair with Starbucks kinda fizzled out…I wasn’t drinking much caffeine and then once I was on maternity leave I had no reason (excuse) to swing by the ‘bux on the way to/from work.  Since then it hasn’t really picked up again because we are now completely decaf people (so lame) and most locations don’t keep decaf brewed.  Plus they got rid of my beloved Tazo chai tea (which is caffeinated, but I make exceptions for the content of it in a serving of tea).  Therefore, my options are decaf espresso or pour… Read more >

Oh my gosh!  I had different things for breakfast this week!  Food ruts be gone? I made another paleo loaf this week, which yielded one mini loaf and three muffins (because I don’t have the recommended size loaf pan for the actual recipe). A completely different breakfast for me here – two fried eggs made into a omelet of sorts with spinach and goat’s milk brie folded inside.  And half an avocado on the side.
