What goes with hummus?

Answer: everything!  (duh!!)

Honestly, what doesn’t go with hummus?!?!  I L-O-V-E sabra (so clearly I had a ton of hummus with dinner)!

I should start a Sabra fan club or something…

Quite the plate of goodies: GC tofu, sweet potatoes, and a ww heel of bread – all topped with creamy, savory, classic hummus

Ummm, how AMAZING does this bite look?  A chunk of tofu and a sweet potato circle held together with a dollop of hummus, HOLY YUM!!

I wasn’t full, though, so I decided to try a new vegan product.  Chik’n strip “meal starters” by Morning Star.  These are found in the freezer section, and although pricey, they are pretty convenient since they are individually freeze dried (meaning they aren’t in one big clump when you open the bag).  I easily separated about a cup (maybe more?) of strips and threw them on the stove.

They are even pre-seasoned!

Talk about quick and easy.  They took less than 5 minutes to start sizzling!!!  The consistency was a bit on the chewy side, but other than that, they were great!  I’ll definitely get them again.  I can see putting these on salad, or over a bed of rice, or in a stir fry…the options are endless!  I ate a few strips on their own, but then added the rest to the (featured above) slice of ww bread with hummus for an open faced chik’n hummus sando.  I love when I discover new quick and easy (and delish) vegan options.  Score!

For dessert I had about half this bag of dried edamame.  SALTY love!!

(and my last dried pineapple ring – no picture, oops!)
