It’s been two years since Kyle and I celebrated our love in front of our closest family and friends.
And since then my love for him has only grown and grown.
I know I’m very blessed to have found my soul mate. My life is so full. I never thought it could get better.
But it’s about to get so so much better. 🙂

I’m pregnant with baby #2, due in a month (I think I emailed you about Fodmap friendly ice cream when I was having cravings for it). Btw, not sure how you’re going to go with birth plans/breastfeeding, but I’m a breastfeeding counselor and just took the IBCLC boards. I’d be happy to answer any breastfeeding questions or refer you to someone. Also, I could go on and on about natural birth/homebirth 🙂 Best to you guys!!!

First tri was r-o-u-g-h. I survived on crackers, bread, watermelon, and ginger ale until about week 11, when I was able to start enjoying veggies like cucumbers and bell peppers again. Hilariously, I’ve been trolling your blog more often than usual because my number one pregnancy aversion is meat! All meat! I’ve had it maybe three times in the last four months, and the thought of smelling or touching it still makes me want to yak. I had my iron levels checked at my last appointment and they were apparently excellent enough to warrant a “you must be eating tons of red meat!!” comment. I loled.
Other than that, I’ve been having lots of dizziness too. My BP is lower than it ever has been before, which is great, and I’ve LOST 10 pounds that I’ve yet to gain back. I was overweight before getting pregnant, but it is just beyond weird to see my stomach getting larger but the scale going down. I guess cutting out meat and alcohol has really dropped my calorie consumption. Bizarre.
Anyways, I hope you do some posts on your experiences with pregnancy so far. I’ve not met anyone so close to my due date, and aside from just wanting to hear EVERYTHING about another person’s experience, I’m also really curious about what you’re eating. Who knew pregnancy would be what finally removed meat from my diet entirely?? haha.

i had similar experience in the beginning…weeks 8-9 were saltine and soda water weeks. and toast. i didnt even want to THINK about food (not great for someone with a food blog). blah. anyway, thats pretty funny about the red meat comment. so far my iron levels are fine, but ive heard later on is when they really dip so we will see…
i think ill do a post in more detail later about how my food preferences have changed. they havent swapped that much aside from my savory breakfasts. i do loooove tomatoes all of a sudden and i cannot get enough of anything with marinara sauce. tomato soup. lasagna. i want it all. 🙂
the dizziness is weird. its not blood pressure related (ive taken my BP at work and its unchanged from my baseline). that said ive always run low (systolic between 90s-110s) so who knows. it could be blood sugar related, but i eat so frequently, even right before it happens, that i dont think thats it. i really just think its the heat. i chug water all day long but once i get overheated to the point of no return its like it sets off a trigger…nausea, faintness, dizziness, sweaty, blah. all i can do is try to get as cool as possible and rest. usually i can wait it out and it eventually passes.
ive gained 6 pounds so far…seems about right…its been better now that i can exercise a little bit.
anyway, ask away in terms of questions because i will probably just do some q &a posts as these things come up.

Oh my gosh, I’ve been reading your blog for a long time now and don’t comment very often (not because I don’t love your posts, but I never feel like I have much of anything interesting to say), but I just had to comment on this one.
