Mondays are so hideous. Unless you work the weekend shift.
Saturday and Sunday shifts tend to drag…the hospital’s inactivity is both a blessing and a curse. I look forward to the start of the week the way most people long for the weekend.
My Saturday was studded with bouts of obnoxious psych patients (and inappropriately overbearing family members), which led me to dread coming to work on Sunday. Fortunately we have charge nurses who look out for our sanity, so my assignment was switched up on Sunday.
Kyle was watching football when I got home and he had picked up dinner from RFD. Talk about the light at the end of the tunnel.
It also helped that I had started both weekend work days with yoga.

In an effort to be optimistic with this question, I’ll offer the more glass-is-half-full version…What’s your favorite work day? I like Tuesdays and Wednesdays best. Mondays are too chaotic after the weekend lulls, but by the middle of the week we start to get the fresh cardiothoracic surgery patients from the ICU. Hooray!
i always liked sat/sun/wed nights. weekends are always busy for trauma, thanks to ETOH :/ and though it got old babysitting intoxicated pts in collars and full-spines, weekends were fun. fridays were always bad. not just busy (busy is good), but overall bad for everyone involved.
i just learned that the veggie grill is coming to portland, or! woohoo! can’t wait to try it!

I haaaaate Tuesdays. Hate. Loathe. Despise. They’re horrid. I think just because the end of the week is so so far away.
My favourite day is certainly Friday. Work has usually slowed down, people take long lunch breaks and several coffee/cake breaks during the day and are counting down the hours to the weekend. What is not to love?
I like Friday nights the best since it seems like Saturday mornings are *usually* a bit less hectic. You never know with NICU, though. Now I probably jinxed myself and this Friday night will be crazy for me! 🙂
I like Thursdays best, the market starts to slow down, especially in the summer, and the weekend is around the corner. Sundays are the WORST. I hate the stress of thinking about work Monday… Ya, I should probably change careers…
Haha the psych patients sound pretty entertaining to me, although I’m not the one doing it everyday…
Love that wine! That’s a good one for sure…My favorite work day would be Thursdays. Clients are typically in good moods, with plans for the weekend, and in good spirits. Happy clients = Happy me!
No day of the work week is my favorite! But I am planning on getting my butt to yoga tonight, so hopefully that’ll brighten my Monday.
Now that I’m unemployed and pretty much blogging full-time, I find my favorite work day to be any one in which I have the house completely to myself to create recipes and make a complete mess of the kitchen. I turn the music up full blast and bake cookies while rocking out to old school Madonna tunes. It’s awesome. This is most likely something that will be happening today as the hubby will be out most of the afternoon! Time to go “Express Yourself”
See now I’m not a Monday fan as it’s the day I finish the latest, plus I’ve just come back from a lovely weekend at home!

I like Tuesdays best as every other week I get the day off!
And I also quite like Wednesdays because I start early but then I’m done for the day at 11am so I have lots of time to be productive 🙂

Tuesdays and saturdays are my favorite workdays. Tuesdays we evaluate a fresh TJA patients. Saturdays are nice at my hospital since it is an easier workday. I used to love fridays, but they have come to be so busy for physical therapy, so now I look forward to friday being over!
I think I’m with you- tues and weds are my fave days. Monday’s are defo a nightmare. I don’t mind slow days sometimes because I can catch up on patient’s paperwork and do a more thorough job but it’s annoying when the days drag!
