Be excited x2

What a tease of a post title!  Ok, but seriously, there are two things that I cannot wait to share.  Both are in the photo below.

Number 1.  The bread.

Technically it’s still a work in progress, but already I can tell it’s got lots of potential.  It’s the best I’ve done yet.  And for a gluten free breadmaker recipe, it’s good enough to share.

Because this GF bread doesn’t use bean flours.  And I threw everything in the breadmaker just like I would with a wheat loaf.

I am so freakin’ thrilled with how it turned out.

Stay tuned.

Number 2.  The nut butter.

Last week’s Cooking Light magazine featured Reginald’s Homemade, which I was immediately drawn to, as any nut butter fiend would be.

Cashews are my favorite nut of all.  They are creamy and rich and fatty and delicious.  Reginald’s makes a couple of cashew butter flavors, including the cinnamon molasses cashew butter (shown above) and cashew nilla.

But they have a ton of other flavors that sound just as enticing…

Bourbon Pecan Peanut Butter
Double Chocolate Chunk Peanut Butter
Hazelnut Amaretto Peanut Butter
White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Peanut Butter

And that’s only the half of them!  Gahhhh, don’t you want to try them all!?!  I do.  Unless you are lucky enough to live in Virginia, Pennsylvania, or Maryland, you have to order them online.  Worth. It.

Again.  Stay tuned.

ummm that nut butter sounds amazing. I’m trying to come up with a reason for buying the $30 sampler package…

That nut butter sounds gorgeous! I just had nut butter on toast for breakfast, but it was the plain peanut, no additives.

And yes I am waiting for an extra exciting blog entry soon!

I had a grilled banana and sunflower seed butter sandwich for lunch, but it wasn’t on homemade bread. Sigh…so it goes 😉

I’ve also had cashew butter once or twice, but not a sweet version (I’m much more savory.) I have to limit my nuts (ha!) but cashews are most certainly like crack.

  5. Red Deception

I received a gluten-free and vegan cookbook for Xmas, and every recipe has been fantastic. The cookbook is, um, “Gluten Free and Vegan Bread” by Katzinger.

My fav is the Millet bread!

Yum! Both the bread and cashew butter look fantastic. I absolutely love nut butter and cashews are one of my favorite nuts too, so I have a feeling I’d fall deeply in love with this stuff!
