Often, sometimes, rarely

Often I have a family sized tub of hummus and [fill in the blank] for dinner and call it a night.

Sometimes I include veggies.

Rarely do I have the suggested portion size.

Often the same meal plan can be created with nut butter.

Sometimes I add frozen bananas to my morning oats.

Rarely does my oatmeal have fewer than three ingredients (nut butter, fresh fruit, dried fruit, cinnamon, stevia, coconut, etc.).

Often I’ll crave nothing but fruit for an entire day.

Sometimes I eat 4 apples in one sitting (but some days apples are trumped by mangos).

Rarely do I go a day without eating at least one piece of fruit. 

Often I forget my coupons at home.

Sometimes I remember and beat the system (look at how my 2 lbs. of loose carrots cost less than the packaged 2 lbs. of carrots). 

Rarely do I forget my grocery bags, thus saving myself an extra 5 cents per BYOB.

Often I hoard things (like Tropical Traditions’ coconut flakes).

Sometimes I share these goodies with you (coming soon!).

Rarely do they disappoint me (ok, never).

Often I wonder if my love of tropical fruits means I am meant to live on an island. 

Sometimes I play the lottery (when it’s realllllly high) to win that island lifestyle.

Rarely do I win (ok, never).

Often I wonder how I’m not orange from my B-carotene themed meals.

Sometimes I wish the self tanning effect of said colored meals would be more apparent.

Rarely does my pale skin cooperate.

    Often I wonder how I can REVERSE the orange caused by all the beta-carotene I eat!
    Sometimes I wonder how I still, always, forget to bring grocery bags. Every. Time.
    I rarely (ok, never) go a day without eating at least one parsnip :p

    I know you don’t watch your weight or anything, but do you find that not really adhering to the suggested portions makes it tough to maintain your weight or is it ok because a majority of what you eat is REAL unprocessed food? Growing up my mom used to tell me that if it’s a fruit or veg I could have as much of it as I want (minus potatoes). Is that what you follow??

    Often times I walk into a Whole Foods and drop $17 at the salad bar.
    Sometimes I walk into a store in hopes that I will spend no more than $15 and walk out with $60+.
    Rarely do I ever buy less than 4 apples at a time, or a miss a meal for that matter! 😉

    I often get comments from people at lunch — “are you REALLY going to eat all that?!” as I assemble a salad-beast.

    Sometimes I count laughing as my exercise for the day — it really works those abs, right?!

    Never, do I EVER forget to eat a meal…I don’t get those people 😉

    I often think about my blogger friends and sometimes wish I had more time to keep up with everyone even though I know I rarely have enough time in a day to do it 🙂

    I often drink ridiculously huge (5-6 cups) fruit, greens, and peanut butter smoothies for breakfast.

    I sometimes crave only vegetables all day.

    I am rarely eat anything that I am not craving. Even if that means that I won’t get many fruits and veggies for a week. I also rarely use any other dairy sub than my homemade almond milk.

    Elise, I too wonder how the hec I am not the color of a carrot! I wonder why some people turn orange and others don’t…

    OFTEN I find my self enjoying shopping for healthy eats more than clothing!

    There is RARELY a day where I don’t eat oats for breakfast.

    SOMETIMES I forget to bring my reusable grocery bags and it breaks my heart not saving that 5 cents and having to tote icky plastic bags home! lol

    OFTEN people ask why my palms are so orange.
    SOMETIMES I can walk into a natural food store and resist impulse buying new or favorite products.
    RARELY do I go a day without eating kabocha.

    Your blog is so nice. I eat a ton of sweet potatoes too. And avocado and coconut galore (I even put them in big dishes of yogurt, etc). I eat at least 1/2 avocado a day…oops. And I eat a ton of fruit.
    But something isn’t working for me cause I’m in a heck of a physical predictament !!

    Often, the kids in my class are amazed at how much fruit I can pack into my body throughout the course of a day.

    Rarely am I able to find coupons for good food! I’m jealous of your carrot coupon score!

    Often I eat nut butter straight from the jar. Sometimes I have too many spoonfuls. Rarely do I ever feel guilty if this happens!

    LOVE the idea of frozen bananas in oatmeal. So trying that.

    Often I go to the store with one item in mind for purchase.

    Sometimes, when I get to the store, I actually remember to buy that one item.

    Rarely do I not make about five impulse buys. Or, as I prefer to think of them: things I didn’t know I need, but definitely do.

    often do i eat almond butter with my bfast! sometimes i eat peanut butter instead, rarely do i not eat nut butter with bfast 😉

    Often, on weeknights after work, gym and shower, I enter the kitchen and need some dinner quick!

    Sometimes, that dinner is a veggie burger or a grilled “cheese” sandwich or frozen pizza.

    Rarely do I feel bad about sometimes eating these quick and easy foods.

    Sometimes I am myself shocked that I easily consume more than 6 cups of raw greens per day (hello fiber!)

    Often I get home for a 12 hour shift and want to eat everything in sight.
    Sometimes I get home and make something super yummy like Pan seared Salmon and garlic sautéed kale (like tonight).
    Rarely do I get a workout in on a day I work a 12 hour shift (working to make that more of a sometimes).

    Often I get weird looks from my co-workers when I eat lunch.

    Sometimes they ask me what I’m having as the curl their lips up a bit.

    Rarely do they ever want a bite! Which is fine by me! 😉
