Pancake belly

I stuffed myself with pancakes and butter.

They don’t look like much but boy did they stick to my ribs.

Or maybe it was the insane amount of butter I added.  Beverly made them with Namaste’s GF mix. You can’t tell but there are blueberries in them 🙂 which you WOULD know by looking at Valley girl’s mouth.

I went back for more after this.  That’s the thing that I love about black(er) pancakes.  They are like a sponge for butter so you keep adding more and more and more…and then they get all squishy and delightful.

Which is fine if you’re just going to sit around and be a bum.  But we went to a tennis center and attempted to get some exercise.

These cheeseballs looooove food.

And books.

Kyle and I enjoyed some time to ourselves after tennis because the kids were at the Discovery Museum and zoo with grandma and bumpa.

I ate this while watching football with no interruptions and it was fantastic.  That’s Field Roast apple sage sausage by the way.  And those chips.  Gahhhhh.  Such salty heaven.

I made a similar plate for the kids when they got home.

P played on his own for hours while V napped but eventually came and watched football with us.

I got snuggles in.  <3

We ended up waking her because it was 5 pm and she was still out cold.  And then read books and rode bikes and played with cars until dinner time.

Her leg is getting better and better every day.  She is able to walk (hobble) across one room very slowly now, and want to do way more so we are holding her back all day long.  Good thing we brought the umbrella stroller.

Dinner!

The beef was devoured.

And I finally succumbed to all the chocolate.

PS I had a lavender love GT’s kombucha today and had never tried it before but really loved it.  Will definitely buy again!

Those field roast sausages are SO good! I actually got my omnivore parents hooked on the breakfast sausages which they prefer to omni versions. I never would have thought to buy the lavender kombucha! Huh, may have to try that. I just bottled my own first batch yesterday, hoping it comes out well, has another two days to go….

I’m so jealous!! Kyle just left town until October so maybe I should start one while he’s gone…(he is the one who doesn’t want me to go down that path…)
