Sweaty Selections

This weekend was a (partial) work weekend.  And it was INSANELY hot.  Fall is nowhere in sight and while I usually love 90 degree temps, my hormones are not on the same page.  At all.  Our AC isn’t doing much of anything and so Kyle and I spent a large part of the weekend bitching about how uncomfortable and sweaty we were.  So productive. Asian Hummus Tempeh Stir-fry

Sometimes when I work night shifts, I forget to make dinner for Kyle.  I usually realize it around 5 pm – right about the time I should be packing up my stuff and heading to the hospital.  This isn’t a tragedy by any means, he’s a great cook, and could certainly make a good meal for himself.  But I like making things easy for him when he gets home from a long work day (and hideous commute).  Plus, it makes me happy (and I know he loves it).    Doesn’t this look gourmet?  I’m sure… Read more >

Hello appetite

Day shift food, including oatmeal, lasagna (two servings), apple, carrots & hummus, and a cinnamon roll.  Details below. Pumpkin and raisin oats made with vanilla almond milk.  I’m officially good and ready for fall. Lasagna that’s bigger than my head.  I had half at lunch time and half an hour later. Snack options. The return of Mexican

I finally did it.  I got over the “ick” of Mexican food that the stomach bug I caught in Cabo and morning sickness did to me. Kyle’s very happy about this since he’s been in taco withdrawal. Work meal ideas

Contrary to what my posting may indicate, I do still work!  Sorry I’ve been withholding my packed eats from you guys.  I have only been taking pictures of 50% of them, though, so here’s what I’ve got.  Hope this helps you with some ideas! Oats.  Veggies.  Pretzels.  Sabra hummus (x2).  Lasagna (leftover).  Cookies.  Apple.  Candied ginger. Oat preference as of late: nuts, cinnamon & dried cherries.  When the cherries soak overnight they plump up to get to be the size of full cherries.  It’s pretty cool.
