I didn’t even realize how ridiculously orange my meals were, until I uploaded all the pictures…holy naranja!  I woke up fairly early for my day off, which allowed time for serious AM chowing.  This mug vat of coffee had froth up the yin-yang (just the way I like it).  I also toasted an English muffin and caked on the Smart Balance light.  Puddles of butter normally skeeve me out, but for some reason I craved it today. Are you scared of the title?  Haha…don’t worry, I haven’t gone quite that hummus crazy (yet!). But I did bake a batch of falafel today, which looked pretty damn similar to (how I would picture) chickpea pastries.  But before I went to town in the kitch, I got my breks-face on. Thursday, Wednesday, it’s all the same

Even though I had today off of work, I still had to set my alarm because I had an appointment.  So I was up and at em with the roosters pigeons (?), which was kinda nice because I rarely get to see my K love in the AM.  He made a massive pot of java, which I had with minimal frills (I was lazy and didn’t feel like frothing). Winter squash, winter weather

Apparently I have to choose between saving for a wedding, and keeping up with the food blog fads.  So, in the interest of staying engaged, I’m unable to juice for breakfast.  No, not that kind of juice.  This kind. So I settled for the poor man’s version (aka a smoothie).  Into the blender went: 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup OJ, 3 oz POM, applesauce cup, frozen plain tofu cubes… and the juice of 1 orange (hand squeezed).  Nice before and after, no?
