Goody green giveaway

I won’t make you wait ‘til the end for this one…it’s GIVEAWAY time!

Remember back when I showed you guys these cute Goody Green bags

They are especially cool because they go from the tiny folded up clutch (on the left), to the big carry-all (on the right), which is perfect for the spontaneous shopper.  So say you go to Whole Foods thinking all you need is an avocado…and wind up with a basket full of $60 worth of groceries (just a hypothetical), if you have the Goody Green bag in your purse, it’s no sweat.  I have literally stuffed up to $75 of stuff in it (I’m not joking).

Not only are these bags stylish & lightweight, but they are durable and Earth friendly too.  They are made from non-woven polypropylene, are water and fire resistant, and (most importantly of all) recyclable and washable.  Plus, you can toss it in your purse at the beginning of the day and forget about it because it folds down in to envelope size.  Then, when you randomly end up in Barnes & Noble, you don’t have to use a plastic bag, you can just whip out your Goody Green bag!!

The good news for you is that I am now carrying them in my OpenSky shop.  But even better news?  I’m hosting a giveaway in which one lucky winner will receive a FIVE PACK of them all in different designs

Here are a few…

Frothy fun designs.  After my caffeine fix was taken care of, I got to work on the day’s errands – ok, errand – all I did was laundry.  😉

IMG_8364IMG_8365

Either way, I made a big a$$ smoothie for breakfast with a whole frozen banana, kale, ice, and a ton of silk soy milk

For lunch I turned to le crack.  Which is basically God’s gift to my mouth, and involves the marriage of hummus and vegan cheese in melty sandwich form.

I forgot how amazing these babies are!

IMG_8202

I used roasted red pepper hummus and VeganRella mozz cheese on toasty Vermont bread.  For some reason, this loaf of bread is especially crumbly. 🙁

Naturally, lunch was followed by a manzana, which gave me the courage to start phase 1 of operation-resignation (aka: Elise grow a pair).

IMG_8363

Oh man.  I had been putting this task off forever, so even though I didn’t do it all at once, I finally took a baby step in the right direction. Phase 2 is set for tomorrow, so wish me luck!

Ripping off a band-aid?  Yeah, not so much.  More like pulling it off millimeter by painful friggin millimeter.

After lunch I met up with Julie.  It was so great to chat with her, and even though it was actually the first time we met, it felt like the millionth.  Love. Her.

I ran a few more errands after and eventually came home to a PM snack of medjools and carob chips

Rocking a natural sugar high, I headed to the gym for minimal cardio and weights to the max.  Arms – check!  Abs – check!  Then I met up with my bestie and we walked a 4 mile loop through the park.  Exercise and gossip – now that’s my idea of working out!!!

I didn’t get home until after 7, and shockingly enough, I wasn’t that hungry.

Grande ensalada time.  Hollerrrrr.

  • spinach
  • kale
  • carrots
  • cauliflower
  • edamame
  • red bell peppers
  • raisins
  • dried cranberries
  • pepitas

What’s a better side dish than a pair of balls – nameen?

Dessert was very similar to yesterday’s.  For those who wanted to know, the “recipe” is a mere 3 ingredients: cocoa powder, tofu (silken), and NuNaturals stevia liquid drops.

Simple, no?

You should seriously get work at a coffee shop–your foam/froth art is pretty good, lol!

Even though I have a zillion canvas bags that I tote around with me everywhere, I want those bags!! None of mine fold up like that, and although I have seen them everywhere, I am waaaay too cheap to spend money on them (all of my bags were free give-aways from some promotion/organization etc.). Stylish? No. Eco friendly? You bet 😉
