Home for the Holidays Two-a-day

12/22/12

Kyle and I met up with Alene for brunch breakfast (it was 9 am).

We went to a Lafayette classic, Millie’s.

I grew up going here before school and for friends’ birthdays and for various home-for-the-holidays reunions with friends.

It’s not remarkable in any way, but it’s become a brunch standard famous for their coffee cake (I’m pretty sure it’s just Krusteaz, but they top it with a pat of butter that makes it extra delicious).

Anyway, I got eggs, hash browns and toast (nothing revolutionary) but it was more about the company than the food.

I was hungry for lunch barely two hours later.  Somebody is going through another growth spurt (hint: he currently resides in my uterus).

This is the same thing I had for lunch the day before (between my mega cooking sesh).  It’s a monster salad with greens, tomatoes, carrots, avocado, Field Roast sausage, and TJ’s balsamic glaze.  Yum!  I had gluten free crackers on the side.

While there was a break in the rain, we took the dogs for a walk.  Naturally that worked up my appetite so I had an afternoon snack of granola with bananas and raspberries.

Dinner was taco night (like this) and post-dinner we went to another holiday party.  Tis the season!
