November is for eating

My initial thought when we planned Friendsgiving for this weekend was “NO. TOO SOON!” but it was the only weekend that worked for us all.  Or at least the majority of us.  So here we are with Friendsgiving 2017 in the books. I made this mushroom, bacon, and cauliflower casserole and this sweet potato and pork stuffing.  Both are GF, DF, and paleo.  And tasty, if I do say so myself. But let me first share Saturday’s eats.  Really quickly. Kyle surprised me with a mini loaf of the Nourish Bread from Nugget a couple… Read more >

Delicious food day

Without planning anything special, my Friday wound up being super yummy.  Allow me to share. It started in Fremont with this “granola” bar.  I had never heard of Steve’s Paleo Goods before, but they reached out to me and asked if I wanted to be an affiliate.  Since I didn’t know anything about them, I said “thanks but I don’t know anything about you”.  So then they said we will send you some stuff to try and see how you like it.  Umm, Ok!  And you know what?  They are the coolest company!  You can… Read more >

The weather change up

Halloween seems to be the switch – and in the 24 hours surrounding the holiday it gets cold and turns into proper Fall weather.  I like the cozy feeling of layers but it’s hard to get motivated to exercise when it’s dreary and dark out until 7ish. Last day of October

Our Halloween was awesome. Just like the Christmas season last year, I am realizing more and more how much more fun the holidays are with kids.  The spirit is infectious.  It’s so sweet seeing everything through their eyes…especially things they’ve read about multiple times, but are now experiencing themselves for the first time.  Like trick or treating!  He got to knock on doors and say trick or treat and do all that stuff for the first time. Equally as thrilling was seeing all the other costumed children in the street.  A ghost!  He loved recognizing… Read more >

Trunk or treating

I’d never heard of “trunk or treating” until P was a nine months old and I had recently joined MOPs and they held a party with this theme.  Now I’m doing it with V! Bring it Monday!  Bring. It. I felt pumped after my sweat sesh and that’s because I did a new workout.  I am a little embarrassed to admit this…buttttt…I did a new T25 this morning.  Yes, I’ve had the T25 DVDs for just over a year now and there are still a few workouts I haven’t mustered up the courage to attempt. … Read more >
