Danielle Walker’s Against All Grain

I’ve been following Danielle’s blog for a while and she frequently alludes to recipes in her various cookbooks that sound delicious.  Her blog is very allergy conscious, which is one of the many reasons I started following it (back when P was diagnosed with multiple allergies).  She also comes from an SCD background (similar to FODMAPs) and so that was another key thing that intrigued me (because so few people are knowledgeable in both cooking/recipe writing AND IBS dietary treatment protocol).  So I decided to check out her cookbook from the library to see if it might be worth the… Read more >

Making a three cake

I came up with this idea after I googled “Thomas cake” and pinterest lead me down a rabbit hole of creative crafty crap.  I’m not usually that mom, but I’ll be the first to admit, when there’s food involved, my ears perk up a bit. Party time weekends

February weekends have been packed.  Priority numero uno was Patty-cakes’ 3rd birthday.  We had a small park gathering the weekend before his birthday and then celebrated the big 3 the entire following week.  It was seriously a never ending fiesta thanks to the staggered visits from grandparents and whatnot.  I mean he only got a handful of presents but since we opened one a day it definitely made it a full on affair. Zoo day with good friends.  P is showing “three” fingers because he put three coins in AND he’s turning three years old.  This… Read more >

What I’m loving

I have a few recent obsessions Orange in chocolate. Ever since the TJs christmas chocolate oranges I can’t get enough of this pairing.  I’m not big on citrus outside of this, so it’s odd.  Anyway, the Lindt bar in the center above was the best of the bunch. This cookbook.  Full review (non sponsored) coming soon because I can’t stop cooking from it. Thrive Market.  If I’m not their number one fan, I don’t know who is.  That link gives you 15% off your first order FYI. BARnana dark chocolate chewy banana bites! I got… Read more >

The weekly menu

Two (and now three since I started this post) whole weeks have passed without my weekly dinner wraps up!  Yikes.  There were such good ones too.  I always say that don’t I?  Not to toot my own horn, but I don’t like making blah recipes so whenever I meal plan I try to pick out meals that are different (and delicious, obvs).  Do you eat the same thing from week to week?  Or do you read cookbooks and blogs and bookmark things like I do?  I’m genuinely curious about how the rest of you eat…do you… Read more >
