I’ve got a pile-up of products to share.  As usual, some were good, some were okay, and some were losers. 1. Free time

Cheese-free Manicotti

I really really really wanted stuffed shells for dinner.  I saw Jenna’s post when I was planning dinner, which is when the craving hit.  We were already planning on having lasagna, so I had everything on hand…minus the shells. I went to 3 grocery stores.  No shells.  Anywhere.  Ugh.  After obsessing over it all day, I had no interest in anything else.  Finally I found manicotti pasta. A lotta work for breakfast

I woke up wanting oats with almond butter.  Problem: no almond butter in the pantry.  But I wasn’t willing to entertain any other breakfast ideas.  So I set to work. Dry roasting almonds until they started to smell…toasty.    I think it was ~10-25 minutes at 375 degrees.  No oil.  Nada.  Just nuts in the pan.  They took a long time to cool.  Too long.   I got impatient and tossed them in the food processor even though they were still warm. The East side

I think I’m psychic.  Every time I float, I get a “feeling” that it’s gonna happen as I head into work.  I swear, I’m not making it up.  Yesterday I even said out loud (in my head) “I bet I’m floating today”.  And I did!  I was on 7 East yesterday, an acute medicine floor (as they call themselves).  The last time I floated was probably in the winter, so I’m definitely due, but it’s still odd to me that I sensed it coming.  I’ve also been having crazy weird ass dreams lately (which I… Read more >
