Herb scissors

I forgot to mention the new addition to our garden!  We have a lime tree now.  Wee!!    It’s the one on the far left above.  So the sprinkler situation above is our out-of-town solution to watering our babies.  The hose is attached to a sprinkler and timer and we set it to go off for 2 minutes at 6 am and 6 pm.  It has tons of settings and is pretty convenient.  Kyle’s parents let us borrow it while we are in Cabo for the week.  If the plants are alive when we come… Read more >

Checking in from Cabo

Hola!   Pretty sure I’ve mentioned before that my parents have a place in Cabo.  Soooo… Not to make you jealous…but here are some photos from my “weekend”. [Isn’t every day the weekend when you’re on vacation?]   Backyard lounging by the pool. Beach time. BBQing at the house.   Experiencing authentic Mexican culture. And the opposite. Egg-cellent

  Egg salad on a fresh baguette.   Soft fluffy bread.  Tangy mustard eggs.  They’re a damn fine pair.    The egg salad has 3 eggs (3 whites/2 yolks) + 1 tsp stone ground mustard + 1 tsp honey mustard + 1 tbsp plain greek yogurt So good.   I sprinkled a dash of salt on top afterwards.  And now in hindsight I wish I’d added a touch of paprika.  I’m so obsessed with eggs right now. Over the last few weeks…     Proof.
