For the record, Justin’s nutbutter jars can’t tolerate boiling water.

    haha this has totally happened to me before. Thankfully it didn’t melt all the way and I was still able to eat them. Perhaps not the best idea to eat out of a melting plastic jar, but I’m still living.

    Oh no!!! Hahahaha I’ve only microwaved glass jars so I haven’t seen this before, but hopefully I’ll learn this lesson from you and not the hard way!

    yup – that’s why i never use hot oatmeal in the plastic jars! only yogurt/cottage cheese…

    Why do you add warm/hot water? I’ve only made overnight oats with cold almond milk and it works great. Huh. I didn’t know people put hot oatmeal in plastic jars, not sure I’d be on board with that.
