How good does this look!?!?
I got take out for farmer’s market this week from Zumapoke here in Davis and it is officially our new go to spot.
Reasons I loved it:
- The portions are SUPER generous (this was the small bowl with three scoops of poke – the large comes with five scoops)
- Their ahi is from Hawaii and it’s good quality
- They label their sauces for people with allergies (not just with vegetarian and gluten free but also peanut which is awesome because I would never think it would be in the miso sauce but it is)
- They have a gluten free bowl option (with plain fish and gf sauces)
- You can customize your own bowl in a million ways (rice or salad or half and half – no prob! toppings galore, etc.)
I am very excited that Davis has a place like this. I may be going here a lot this summer.
Also on my radar is a new bagel shop that just opened last week. It has vegan shmear and gf bagels and everything!
Nice!! That sounds like the perfect takeout for summer dinner- and really awesome they are so diligent with ingredient labeling (wth there’s peanut in miso sauce?? )
There have been a ton of poke places opening here the past few years but that seems to have peaked.
Hope the new spot makes a good GF bagel!
