A big day

Kyle’s on his way home!  Weee!  After an eternity on my own, I’m re-he-he-heeeeally looking forward to his return. Two themes

When my hands are tied up and time is of the essence, I’ve been relying pretty heavily on two things. Theme number one: snack plates Veggies, meatless meatballs, Stubb’s BBQ sauce, Mary’s Gone twigs, sweet potatoes, daiya cheese, GF tortillas… This was a meatless meatball round (WF / 365 brand is bomb).  I go through phases with faux proteins.  Beyond Meat strips are a fave.  So are hard boiled eggs.  But sometimes I just stick to nuts instead of a “meat” snack item. Little food secrets

Here’s a dirty little secret.  I cover up one corner of toast in 99% of my photos because they have one bite taken out of them already. I don’t know why, but I always take a bite out of the bread before I put it in the toaster.  What can I say…I’m special.  Or I lack patience.  Either way it doesn’t make for a nice photo, so I always manage to cover it up with another piece of food or crop it out of the photo entirely.  My first breakfast is above (GF toast with… Read more >

Mother’s Day weekend

What an amazing weekend.  Not just because I got showered with love.  With or without Mother’s Day, this past Saturday and Sunday were just plain awesome. Kyle was down in LA on Friday for a conference, so I was solo parenting again. Here are some products I’ve tried lately. Some were bad, some were okay, some were good, and some were awesome. So I figured I’d share. I have no affiliation with any of these companies.
