The banana bread you all want

Ok! So you guys want some gluten free quick bread, huh!?  After I asked which recipes peeps were interested in in this post, the banana bread was the most requested one by far. I totally don’t blame you.  I’ve had it for breakfast every single morning for the past two weeks. Every. Single. Morning. I’ve re-made it THREE times since. It’s so gooooood. Gluten Free Banana Bread [vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, FODMAPs friendly, makes 1 mini loaf] Ingredients: 1 cup almond flour 1/2 c NuNaturals stevia baking blend 1/4 cup whole rolled oats (certified… Read more >

Make your own mix

I have a pie-related question. Ridiculous or genius?  You tell me.  The thing is, the “pumpkin pie” spices are ones you probably already have in your pantry: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, & allspice. The only difference is now you can buy it pre-assembled.  And as we all know, humans are suckers for anything that  increases efficiency and reduces labor…even if it only saves 0.6 seconds.  Totally worth it.  Right?  Maybe not.  It costs $5 at Whole Foods and it’s not even organic.  So I’ll just make my own thankyouverymuch.   Sweet Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix 1… Read more >

Nu for you (giveaway)

Believe it.  It’s giveaway time!! I’m a NuNaturals stevia mega fan.  It’s one of the tastiest sweeteners that also happens to be calorie free and easy on my GI tract (there are always extra packets in my purse for those just-in-case coffee moments). And so I felt like I should pass on the love.  After all, I use NuNatural products CONSTANTLY. I go through bottles of the vanilla liquid stevia, in my baking (see here or here), in my smoothies, in my coffee, in my desserts, and in my breakfast oats (just to name a… Read more >

A health relapse

Last Friday was a wonderful work day because the entire time I was looking forward to my weekend.  Kyle and I had fun plans that involved good food, family time, and lots of relaxing.  But things took a turn in the afternoon.  Because I was at work, I didn’t get the voice message or email until my lunch break: G-ma’s at the hospital. For those who don’t know, my Grandma is not your average Grandma.  [June, 2011] She works.  She (attempts to) beat me in cards and darts.  And, as much as we all hate… Read more >
