Ten Reviews

Here are some products I’ve tried lately. Some were bad, some were okay, some were good, and some were awesome. So I figured I’d share. I have no affiliation with any of these companies. These are simply my honest opinions. 1. Choc & Nut spread. This is a vegan version of Nutella. I first came upon this French company at Expo West and after one bite I was hooked. It tastes heavenly – chocolate & hazelnut in a creamy smooth buttery spread. I found it at my local Co-Op and it’s not cheap. $10 for… Read more >

Photos of food

I’ll own it.  Since last weekend, I’ve been phoning it in here on HHH. Just plugging along as per usual – work work work with free time filled with potting plants and cheering on my husband.  And eating.   I’ve been poking my head into the Food Revolution truck every day on my lunch break to see if Jamie Oliver is there…still no sighting though.  I really want to show my lunches off.  Or ask for a job.   This was a salad with spinach, quinoa, & blackened tempeh.  So I think he’d be a fan…. Pure Market Express cinnamon rolls

Back when I got this shipment of goodies from Pure Market Express, I knew the raw cinnamon rolls would be the item that I’d save for last. Ask Kyle how I feel about cinnamon rolls.  He’ll confirm that I dream about them night and day.  Not only have I made them multiple times in the past two months, but I hunt them down.  If we are even remotely near a bakery, you better believe I get my a$$ a gooey roll (maybe two? and a third for the road?).  So it’s a full blown obsession. … Read more >

All work

And no play makes Elise a repetitive eater. Rather than subject you all to the same exact meal (times twenty), I’ll show my hippie bowl once and move on to my work food. Quinoa, carrots, spinach, seitan, avocado, nutritional yeast, Bragg’s aminos. After a few bad days, where I was carelessly eating wheat and agave (FODMAPs no-no) like it was going out of style, I knew I needed to get my GI tract back on track. Feeling bloated (and a bunch of other less-internet friendly terms) is the worst. So! I did what I know… Read more >

What I Ate

It’s been a long time since I did a “what I ate in a day” style post, but I feel like returning to my OG format for the a moment.  Here goes. Breakfast: Vegan & GF pancakes (made with Bob’s Red Mill mix and almond milk).  I didn’t use any kind of vegan egg substitute, I just left it out.  I also used only almond milk (rather than the water/oil combo they recommended). I topped it with warm peanut butter and banana slices.  Half the banana went into my mouth before it made it onto… Read more >
