Sunday

Sunday morning started just like Saturday – I was off to work before the clock chimed 6.  My lunch was similar to Saturday’s too. Let’s see if you can identify the differences?  Kidding!  That’s way too much effort.  Instead, I’ll just tell you.  Same salad.  Different bars.  Today’s snacks included: Clif’s MoJo Dipped PB&J, Chocolate Coconut Chew Larabar, dried fruit (mango and pears), and fresh fruit (apple and pear). Sometimes I wake up with my stomach growling, but other days, I don’t actually get hungry for hours.  And weirder yet, sometimes I eat a meal… Read more >

Solo Saturday

Initially, I thought this weekend wouldn’t be too bad since my weekend at the hospital overlapped with Kyle’s trip to the west coast (I mean, we might as well both be occupied if we aren’t together, right?)…but then I found out some of my fave peeps were going to be in town.  [Insert HUGE sigh]  Next time… Work grub.  Let’s get to it. Now what do we have here:  PB&J Larabar (it had been too long – I don’t recommend waiting over a month week between consuming this flavor), Chocolate Brownie Clif bar (ummm, chocolate… Read more >

Dessert trumped Quantum Leap

FridayAYayAY I’m gonna fly through the AM stuff because the PM is SOOOO much bettah! Attempt #1 at making my own pumpkin butter.  Good, but not great.  This contains (unmeasured amounts of) WF canned pumpkin, NuNatural’s vanilla extract, cinnamon, and NuNatural’s liquid sweetener.  It was weird at first, but like most other fetus obsessions, it grew into a full blown baby food crush in a matter of spoonfuls.  YUM!! I had it with apples and carrots (unpictured), while chatting via BBM with my lovah.  I decided to go to the gym before my sugar high… Read more >

10 reasons

Thursday was muy bueno and here’s why: 1.  I got to sleep in.  Hooray! 2.  Coffeeeeeee 3.  I totally had nothing but fruit all morning (fruit, fruit, and more fruit). 4.  I got to use my brand new Polar F6 HRM.  5.  At long last, some quality cardio time!!!  (Yes, this overlaps with #4, but I was so so thrilled, it deserves 2 points). 6.  I made a delish sando out of Nature’s Pride bread stuffed to perfection with some slightly rando ingreds. (sweet potato, avocado & smart deli “turkey”) Holy yum, try this now. … Read more >

Turn that frown upside down

You all give me such love.  I swear.  Each and every comment about my stressed out blog hiatus filled my heart.  Since I don’t wanna be Debbie Downer, rather than rehash all the reasons why the past few days of work sucked, I’ll just brush that dirt off my shoulder, and move the eff on.  On a positive note, there were a couple of pretty sweet things that happened this week that cheered me up and (nearly) snapped me right out of my funk.  The first was Tuesday’s dinner at Galanga, a small thai restaurant… Read more >
