The every-day eats

I am bad about taking pics of my daily eats (like I used to) but I get requests for them more than the “real” recipes…so here are  bunch of the quickie things I throw together on the regular.  From last week… Millet with sautéed spinach, baked tofu & avocado I made the millet in the rice cooker, sautéed the spinach with sesame oil and tamari, and used Wildwood tofu. I used to do this every day

Holy crap I actually took pictures of everything I ate in a 24 hour period!  I can’t believe I used to do this every single day… Starting with breakfast.    I slept in til 9 but if I didn’t have a child I would have hidden under the sheets until at least noon.  I was still recovering from night shift shenanigans and pacman wasn’t pleased.  Given that, both of our appetites were out of control.  I fed him first of course, but then got right to work on my own grub. Caramel studded oatmeal blondie bars

What I Ate…T/W

My Tuesday and Wednesday.  For your viewing pleasure. Breakfast.  Banana bread + fried egg.  Decaf, decaf, decaf. Lunch.  Celery, carrots, zucchini egg muffins with fresh grind peanut butter. After Kyle woke up I went for a short jog around the ‘hood and then we headed downtown for fro-yo. Snack.  Cultive mix of banana & white chocolate fro-yo topped with slivered almonds, shredded coconut, blueberries, and raspberries. Dinner.  Thai Peanut Zucchini Noodle Fry. Hot-urday

Last weekend’s (eek, super delayed post, this is from 2 weekends ago!!) al fresco was indoors because IT. IS. SO. HOT.
