vegan cookies

Pizza. Stat.

Here’s what happened tonight. I wasn’t hungry.  Wasn’t hungry.  Wasn’t hungry. BAM!  I need pizza.  Now.  Like NOW. I was out the door in under 5 minutes with a mission.  And I was back home within 15 minutes box in hand. I ate the whole thing.  Solo.  [vegan pizza with daiya courtesy of the Santa Monica Co-Op] True Life.  My appetite is bigger than your appetite. If there were ever a stat order for pizza, this was it.  Damn girl. FYI, I made these cookies today, too.  I’m so 100% content right now.  🙂

Single take

How about one photo for each meal? Crock-pot spiced brown rice with almond butter. In an effort to bring some variety to my oat routine (the horror!!) No explanation necessary.  These two foods will never cease to amaze me. The Cookie Department Great Full (vegan) cookie. You would never ever know this cookie has sweet potatoes in it.  It was soooo good. … Read more >

Moon Landing

I made his and hers cookies for dessert the other night.  It was 9 pm and we wanted dessert, but the only thing that we Kyle felt like was warm cookies.   It wasn’t in my vows, but cookie bitch is definitely one of my wifely duties.   You know that scene in Modern Family when Jay and Cam are in the men’s locker room together… That’s what I thought of once I pulled these cookies out of the oven.  Peanut butter moon landing! An attempt at entirety

Ready for an entire day of food?  It’s rare that I do these kinds of posts anymore and after yesterday I realized why.  It’s hard to get everything! For example, I had a bagel set out for breakfast, but when I got up I didn’t feel like it.  Correction, I felt like something else.  A cookie to be specific.   That’s because this tupperware was sitting on the counter mocking me as I made my coffee.  I knew if I didn’t have one, I’d be thinking about them all day and would likely have a… Read more >

The Monday Flood

The flood actually started Sunday morning, and after four unreturned calls to our landlord we took matters into our own hands and began calling plumbers.  Apparently Sundays aren’t ideal for your pipes to burst because we called every plumber in Santa Monica and nobody returned our calls…until 30 minutes later.  We finally got one guy to agree to come look at the sink…after putting down a $100 deposit.   He didn’t arrive until 75 minutes later.  At that point we had several drenched towels and one full a$$ bucket. He “worked” on the leak for… Read more >
