Meet my (other) sister!

After Laura did a guest post, I knew it was only a matter of time before I got Marie on board…

She’s my other sister, the youngest of the hippie clan (the one my mom lovingly tattooed with sunscreen in Maui).  Although she has been spending the summer “studying,” don’t feel TOO bad for her.  She’s about to enter her senior year in college.  Oh, and did I mention, she lives ON the beach.  Literally.

Rough life.  Those were the days…

Anyways, without further ado, Marie, take it away!

Seeing as how we are a very competitive family, I needed to add a post so that Laura doesn’t have one up on me, and I can stay in the running for the favorite sister.  Being the baby in the Dieden clan I am still in college and have just (2 days ago!) moved into my own house and am learning the ropes of being a grown up.

I am somewhere in between Elise and Laura on my diet, I’m not a hard core vegan, however I do not eat beef or pork, and Elise has slowly been exposing me to the world of health eating!  Tonight was my first test! I started off with some carrots and hummus as a little snack and then began the real test.

Frozen foods are a must for any college kid and I can already tell that Trader Joe’s (or TJ’s as the regulars call it) is going to be my new best friend!  Tonight for dinner I made myself a delicious pesto parmesan turkey burger!

Just took it out of the box, slapped it on the pan, added a little bit of olive oil and let it cook away!

Now, I have been seeing Elise take pictures of her food for a while now so I know how artsy fartsy she gets over it, so E, I tried my best!

So here is my creation: turkey burger with ketchup, hummus (I am her sister after all), and avocado! And let me tell you was it good!!!

I also got some really weird looks from my roommates who a) don’t know how to cook and b) were really really confused as to why I was taking pictures of my food!

Ok well seeing as how I have a midterm tomorrow and I have procrastinated enough I’m going to get back to studying!! Hasta luego!

Hope you enjoyed her post.  Heart you Marie!  My fave things were the copious amounts of ketchup and HUMMUS, as well as the theta cup.  Once a sorority sister, always a stop sending me alumni mags!

Back to regular blogging tomorrow!  XXX

You’re one of three girls too?! Our similarities are endless, Elise.
It’s nice to meet your Marie! I am the baby too, embarking on my senior year of college as well.

Mmm, look at all that hummus and ketchup! Love it.

And what!?! You are BOTH thetas, or just the sis?! I’m a kappa….. 🙂

  9. elise

Both of my sisters are Thetas, I’m a DG (or at least I was once upon a day…)

great blog, furr ball (i couldnt resist…)! i am super jeal of the fact that youre still in SB living the life i used to (theta cup and all). BUT i would like to say that you should have NO problem spending “that much time on dinner every night”….its quicker than going to get something from freebirds – all you do is slab a frozen patty on the grill. done and done. additionally, elise, i loved the “stop sending me soroity mags” reference – couldnt agree more. haha

    Mmm, that ketchup looks sultry.

    You have the cutest family.
