Here are some products I’ve tried lately. Some were bad, some were okay, some were good, and some were awesome. So I figured I’d share. I have no affiliation with any of these companies. These are simply my honest opinions. 1. Boulder Canyon Natural Foods olive oil kettle cooked potato chips I’m not sure what makes these “kettle” exactly, but as far as ingredients go they are clean and pure. Vegan and gluten free. And FODMAPs friendly. Purely potatoes, olive oil and salt. I thought they were too greasy, but I’m not a potato chip… Read more >

Monday Monday Monday. In nursing, there isn’t really the same stigma for the various days of the week because every day is (potentially) a work day. Fridays don’t mean the next two days are off. Wednesdays aren’t a half way mark. And Mondays aren’t the first day back after a break. So why do Mondays still have that baggage for me? Probably because spending the weekends with both my boys are so awesome. And I hate that it has to end. I also usually do grocery shopping on Mondays and I truly have come to… Read more >

Bon Appétit is probably my favorite magazine. I say that without a subscription though. I love their website. I steal my sister’s magazines. It counts. Clean Eating and Vegetarian Times could be in the running for the top spot too. I really just like reading about pretty food. The June copy of BA has SO many things I’ve bookmarked to make it’s ridiculous. Summer food is fun. Sometimes I wish I could split myself in half so I could have enough time to do both the career thing and the other stuff. Like making… Read more >

On the left is Amy’s dairy free cheeze pizza with a rice crust. On the right is Udi’s gluten free crust with tomato paste, arugula pesto, and Daiya mozzarella vegan cheese. I tried the Amy’s pizza a couple of weeks ago after an exhausting day. I was in a bad mood and didn’t want to put any effort into cooking. And I probably should have looked at the meal’s ingreds closer. Pros: It’s dairy free and gluten free. And takes no time to bake. I made it in the oven following the directions… Read more >

Cool or warm, this is an easy tasty dish. Easy being the key thing if you’d rather be soaking up the summer rays than doing things in the kitchen. Who wouldn’t? I’ve said this lots before – I’m not a tempeh lover. I like it fine, and when restaurants prepare it (correctly) it’s awesome. But yeah. It’s not my number one. That might all change though. Because I just tried Westsoy’s tempeh and (dare I say it) I could eat this stuff straight up! No cooking necessary! And before you say it, yes, I… Read more >
