For our baby boy

On Saturday, December 8th, Kyle and I were joined by some of our best friends to celebrate our little bundle of joy. Tofu enhanced pesto

  This is basically a summer dish masquerading as a winter dish (because of the red and green colors, okay?).  Totally Christmas-y.   Here in Santa Monica, my garden still thinks it’s supposed to be producing.  So most of the recipe’s ingredients are from my garden. What can I say?

This weekend was just plain awesome.  I don’t know what else to say.  My sister came to visit.  My friends threw me a baby shower.  And I just felt so loved.  And fortunate.  Things are good. Thursday night was tree decorating and burrito bar. Classic combination

Cornbread and chili.  It’s one of those combos that you always pair together.  Like peanut butter and jelly.  Or…I don’t know…something else.  I can’t think right now.  My brain is slow these days. I never thought the day would come when I’d try to vegan-ify a dish served at hooters…but I guess stranger things do happen.
