Vegan in Paris

Before I post about my last day in Paris, I wanted to take a brief moment to share all the research I did prior to visiting this gorgeous city.  Paris, oh Paris, where to begin.  With your ham and cheese filled cuisine and head-strong chefs, it’s no wonder vegans find themselves in deep water when dining in your fair city.    There are a few exceptions though…you just have to do your research. [And be with fellow travelers that are ok with doing the veggie thing]  While I personally didn’t go out of my way to… Read more >

It would be nice, if you made me rice.

The above line is from a poem written by my adorable husband.  I may have to show it to you later.  :)  Since I am on night shift this week, I slept in ‘til noon, enjoyed a late breakfaat, and watched tv until 5:00 rolled around. Drinking the dregs

No matter how much I shake the almond or soy milk, the last cup of the carton is always SO MUCH BETTER than the rest.  I love the thick sediment that’s left at the end.  If only there were a way to make it all like that!?  Anyone else a fan of the nondairy milk dregs?   In case you weren’t aware, I’m a vanilla whore.  I usually buy the unsweetened or plain soymilk/almond milk and just add that and NuNaturals vanilla stevia to my coffee.  Lately, though, I’ve been in a mayj vanilla phase,… Read more >

The first B&G

My friends and I have been planning a special booze and games night for a while now… I’d say it went off rather well.  😉        Hula hoop gladiator softball twister jenga.  And some bevies. :)  Bahahaha. Our cab ride home was ridiculous…the driver had no clue how to drive the 20 blocks from one part of West LA to our apartment and was asking us for directions.  Not good.  Sunday morning I had this beauty waiting for me And now the weekend is over…sad.

Pride

Saturday was packed for me.  I woke up early, went for a quick 2 mile jog, showered, caffeinated my face, and hit the road.  Off to Glendale! Both my cousin and aunt are preggo.  It’s really cool.  This is the first child for my aunt and uncle and I’m pretty excited to be getting a new cousin.  I only have two cousins, so getting a third is a big deal.  And since we are (thus far) a family of girls, he will be the male heir carrying the family name on.  The fact that I… Read more >
