My highlights: week 2

Hey hey!  It was a good week around these parts.  I got some time to hang with girlfriends, I took P to the library and the zoo, and I even fit in several workouts.  Happy dance.  🙂 Here are some photos I took throughout. Beet, carrots, apple, ginger juice + an article from my dad about the range of GI/immune responses to oats.  Gluten is one tricky beast. Hilarious pose.  This kid kills me. Do you have a textual relationship with your sushi provider?  Guilty! I looked over and…this.  Standing is now his fave.  Ok,… Read more >

My highlights: week 1

I use this blog as a way of chronicling my adventures in parenting more than I set out to.  My little man is much more fun than recipes, though, so why not share the non-food stuff?  I don’t know if I’ll do this every week, but maybe I will?  Here’s the first week of 2014.  Just my everyday life stuffs captured on film in digital pixilation. Additionally, he’s allergic to wheat, soy, cashews (therefore, tree nuts), and dairy. He is NOT allergic to eggs, fish, shellfish, or walnuts.  So yeah, this is crazy.  At first I was really overwhelmed,… Read more >

Davis Christmas weekend

Oh nuts

Where to start. Last week was an interesting one for us…turns out Patty-cakes is allergic to peanuts. And maybe more, but we won’t know much more for sure until we meet with the allergist. Needless to say, it was one of the scariest times of my life.  I swear, nothing can prepare you for parenting. I wasn’t going to talk about it here on HHH, but since this blog is (first and foremost) about the dietary management of food sensitivities and digestive issues, I think it’s pretty relevant.  I guess in many ways we are… Read more >
