granola

If you build it…

I will eat it. Now since I want you to get it just right; here’s how to build the most be-udi-ful breakfast bowl. Assemble your team.  I like a balance of textures, so I went with an apple, a pear, The Greek Gods plain greek yogurt, and Udi’s gluten free Original granola.  If the granola didn’t have dried fruit and nuts already in it, they would have been supplemented by moi.  Fortunately, Udi’s granola is legit enough to already contain the goods.  I loved Udi’s Au Naturel flavored granola (seriously top notch stuff) so I… Read more >

From drab to fab

In case you want a visual image with the post title, as you say it picture me snapping my fingers across my body with some serious sass.  And now roll your eyes. Ah well, we can’t all be divas. Nonetheless, my week’s work eats have been nothing short of amazing.  From drab… To fab.  🙂 On top of the quinoa, I chopped up the fattest pear I’ve ever seen (I’m not even exaggerating, it was a beastly looking fruit), and then some crushed cashews.  Not just plain cashews though.  I put them in a baggy,… Read more >

Hour by Hour

Here’s the line-up (the photo shows the eats in chronological order of consumption). And here’s the hourly breakdown… 7:30 pm – I pack the above eats for work. 8:30 pm – In an attempt to get back on track, I tuck into the covers extra early. 4:14 am – My alarm goes off and Kyle lovingly nudges shoves me out of my slumber to shut off the beeping. 4:30 am – Jillian Michaels makes me regret seeing the sunrise with weights and cardio. 5:00 am – Shower time. 5:15 am – I sip on coffee… Read more >

Something looks familiar

Let’s not drag this out.  All my work eats today were leftovers and there’s nothing interesting about that. Salad with oranges, granny apples, dried cranz I must be the only freak on the planet that likes soggy leftover salad, but I do!  I simply added in a fistful of fresh spinach before adding in the leftovers to keep the greens from turning into a saturated mess.  And for those who were wondering, the home-made vinaigrette dressing was a simple mix of EVOO, balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, dijon mustard, sesame seeds, salt & pepper.  Harvest… Read more >

Nut your average butter

I’m definitely in a big, huge, massive, obscene rut.  There, I said it. Almost every single meal this week has involved nutbutter in some form. It all stemmed from this purchase. And the delivery of this package. Both have become absolutely essential parts of my diet, so much so that I’ve ended up creating the oddest food combinations, all in an effort to incorporate some form of nutbutter.  For instance this sweet potato & apple dish dressed with peanut sauce.  Peanut sauce you say?  Yes, peanut sauce.  All it is is peanut flour, almond milk… Read more >
