computer stress/food mess/gym success

You would never know how productive today was if you tracked me with a GPS (I was literally in the same square foot in my apartment for 99% of the day)…hunched over the computer BEGGING it to cooperate with me. I got up nice an early, even though I had today OFF from work :)  I was thrilled beyond belief to get some extra rest all my errands done.  Seriously, I had frothy coffee and soynut butter oats and then got crackin’… Oh, and soynut butter is ridiculously good, btw.  This was my day.  Restoring,… Read more >

gymspired

I woke with a tummy ache today :(  so I started the day off with tea. I had the last of my Holiday Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Tea, so my second mug was blueberry green tea.    I really like the sugar cookie tea, I’m going to have to get that one again.  SO good.  Then I had some toasted Alvarado street bread with peanut butter and cinnamon and stevia sprinkled on top.  This bread is the best, and as we all know, peanut butter is the solution to everything IN LIFE, so I was… Read more >

have patients

Nope.  Not a typo.  I had QUITE a demanding patient load today at work.  Talk about a shock back into reality.  I’ve been off for about a week now, so I knew it was going to be an abrupt change from the lackadaisical days I’ve been having (lounging around the warm apartment without a hint of an agenda). Anyways, today’s eats were as thrilling as ever.  Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m laying on the sarcasm pretty thick.  Starbucks soy misto to get the day going. Odwalla bar when I couldn’t ignore the growling in my… Read more >

Mex-Tex

Another travel filled day (Mexico to Texas to New York).  Sadly, I had to leave the warm, beautiful weather in Mexico (the fun had to end sometime).  Even though I’m definitely NOT looking forward to returning to the icy New York climate, I AM ready for the rest of what Manhattan offers (namely the food).  Sure, vacation was great, but 4 days was long enough.  I never thought I’d say this, but I’m so sick of chips and salsa…That’s the thing about Mexico, there’s not much variety when dining.  It’s weird how spoiled you can… Read more >

Part of the cool kids club

Today was quite the experimental cooking day.  Lately, I’ve been salivating reading all my fellow bloggers’ delish recipes, not to mention jealous that I haven’t had time to sample the popular dishes on my own!  Desperate to join in on the action and give my own reviews, I grabbed my chef hat and decided to seize the day…  I don’t have Veganomicon, but if all goes well today, I may have to make a trip to Barnes & Noble.  I started cooking in the AM, pretty much right after I woke up.  Okay, actually I… Read more >
