Green goop

In true Sesame Street style, today was sponsored by the colors GREEN and ORANGE.  I didn’t realize it until I was posting these photos, but there’s a real trend going on in my eats from today. Breks was caffeine and fruit.  After the booze infusion that was this weekend, I was thinking of doing something detox-y, but then I remembered that my normal eats ARE mostly just that.  So, onward ho!  I was happy to get back to my froth love.  Coffee just isn’t the same when I don’t get my own non-milk stevia on. … Read more >

Yum! Eat!!

Wanna see how my Maui meals have been going…well, I have about 4.7% of my eats captured on film, so I’ll let you be the judge of that.   We eat at restaurants more often than not, so I am in serious need of a detox.  Processed foods have been in abundance, despite my best attempts to minimize them.  And even with mega planning ahead of time, vegan options tend to be poor at best.  One of the things I realized here is how unavoidable processed foods is.  Sad :(  Even with my organic-loving, health-conscious, family,… Read more >

Carb-o loading for fun

Froth-a-licious! It was a VERY berry morning.  Strawberry chobz + even more strawberries. Memorial Day Bite-lettes

Monday holiday!  Hooray! It took this many cups of coffee to get me moving this morning… Ok, I realize this looks a bit like a scene from Intervention (before the person has recognized they have a problem).  BUT, in my defense, it was for both me and Kyle, and I often make extra (for PM iced coffees), so don’t judge. I frothed it up of course! My breakfast wasn’t exactly traditional, but boy was it TASTY! I forgot to mention how effing amazing these BITE-LETTES were last night.  I would DEFINITELY recommend them.  I could… Read more >

whatevah, I do what I want

Because yesterday’s post prompted such passionate and wonderful comments (I love you guys!!!), I’d like to post my response, just in case some people don’t check follow up answers in the comment section.  This is just such a great discussion matter… First off, can I just say how PROUD I am of the responses I have gotten on this issue, not just as a (self proclaimed) foodie, but as a female in general! You all are absolutely right, it can be a slippery slope from checking portion sizes to obsessively counting each and every calorie… Read more >
