Salty, sweet, savory, scrumptious

Any resemblance this sweet & salty snack has to an eight legged arthropod is completely unintentional. It may not be summer, but I’m still roasting

Ok, I know.  It’s semi-odd to be roasting winter squash in June, right?  But I had a butternut and delicata squash hanging around the kitchen and figured I better seize the day. So I hacked my way into them, lubed the skin down with coconut oil, and popped ‘em in the oven at 375. I made sure to salvage the seeds to roast too.  They are loaded with iron and (quite frankly) delicious.  Those didn’t get coconut oil though.  They were sprayed with PAM and sprinkled in salt.  Nada mas, nada less. One and two

My two current obsessions are the following: (1) Peanut butter covered pretzels (2) Sesame sticks These are the kind of items I wind up buying from Whole Foods when I don’t go grocery shopping with Kyle.  I call them absolutely-necessary-but-really-totally-unnecessary purchases.  And I can (and do!) make entire meals revolve around them.  And there’s no end in sight.
