Life in Lafayette

Now that I’m back in L’town (my affectionate name for the town I grew up in), it’s wedding task-a-mania up in hurrr. You’d think I’d be sleeping in (given my job-less state), but you’d be wrong.  My sinuses have been crazy pissed at me with all the location changes (NYC, LA, Mexico, Newport Beach, San Clemente, and now the Bay Area).  As a result I’ve been waking up with the sun thanks to an intense throbbing pressure in my head.  Lovely.  I’ve been buddy-buddy with Sudafed as of late. Anyways, since I’m not quite back… Read more >

Mexican Skunk Dance

I’m glad you guys are enjoying my tips for navigating the veg friendly parts of Cabo San Lucas… For our last night in Cabo we went to Hacienda El Coyote for dinner.  The interior was on the eclectic side, but this was still probably one of the more “fancy” restaurants we went to. In addition to the restaurant area, they had a Tequila Lounge, and a few different outside seating areas. Navigating the wine list was the first priority after being seated. Check. I sampled a few with hummus and they were pretty tasty.  My only issue was that… Read more >

Wed(nesday) and Bed

For the freakin’ LIFE of me I couldn’t make it out of bed this morning. By 10 am I just resigned to a morning in bed (why fight it).  I made coffee and snuggled back in my covers with a crossword, mug of frothy joe, and some trashy tv.  How’s that for a perfect morning?  Hump day much. Around noon I dragged myself to the living room for some apples and computer time.  Since it was gorgeous outside and I wasn’t hungry for lunch I made my way outside, for a walk around the neighb. … Read more >

Gleeful day off

Reminder: BYOM (bring your own mug, that is) to Starbucks on April 15th for a free java I love that Starbucks is doing their part to make a difference…I mean, I already adore the ‘bucks for their delicious liquid crack, but The Green Project has put them on a whole other level in my book.  Hippie approved 🙂 But back to Tuesday… Weather-wise, it was only moderately spring-y, but I’ll take overcast and warmish over 40 degrees any day. Brunch was colorful perfection.  Fruity much? Today’s smoothie was loaded with POM, frozen mixed berries, frozen… Read more >
